A large heron spreads its wings wide as it takes off against a softly blurred background that suggests a tranquil water setting. The bird's elongated body and feather details are finely rendered, capturing the grace and power of the heron in flight.
This is one of an ongoing series of heron artwork. I have used my original photograph and embellished it with a mix of various backgrounds and textures. At times I have also digitally painted the resulting artwork.
